Refracted Space Demo: Bending Light, Building Excitement!
Greetings, puzzle enthusiasts! I'm thrilled to announce that a demo showcasing the first 35 levels of Refracted Space, my 2D light puzzle game, is now available. Prepare to put your mind to the test as you guide beams of light through the depths of space!

The Journey of Light
Creating Refracted Space has been an amazing, albeit challenging, journey. At the beginning, the core concept was simple: use prisms and reflectors to bend light and solve puzzles. But as any programmer knows, simple concepts can hide surprising complexities.
One of the biggest hurdles was figuring out how to code the light beams to split into two separate beams when encountering a prism. It involved some intricate geometry calculations, but getting it to work was incredibly satisfying.
I'm also a perfectionist when it comes to visuals. Early versions of the game... well, they weren't the prettiest. There have been countless graphic updates to bring the cosmos and its contraptions to life with captivating detail.

Refraction Realism: The Next Phase
The demo gives you a fantastic taste of the game's mechanics, but I'm not stopping there. My next goal is to implement even more true-to-life light refraction. Right now, prisms rotate on 90-degree increments when clicked. Eventually, you'll have free-form control over prism placement. Plus, the light will refract according to the angle of impact, adding a whole new layer of puzzle-solving strategy. The 90-degree mechanics of reflectors will likely stay the same. It would be hard to play this sort of puzzle game in space without boundaries!
Calling All Puzzle Lovers!
The full launch of Refracted Space is just a couple of months away, but for now, I'd love for you to try the demo and let me know what you think. Did the puzzles challenge you in the right ways? Which levels were your favorites? Feedback from players like you is crucial; it helps me shape the final experience into the most mind-bending, light-bending puzzle extravaganza possible!
Stay tuned for more updates on Refracted Space soon!
